How to Add Extra Baggage & Prices on CityJet

Buy Baggage
  1. Go to cityjet.com and open the Links > FAQ section to confirm your flight is operated by CityJet on behalf of another airline.
  2. Check your ticket or booking confirmation for the marketing airline code on your flight number (for example SK for SAS Scandinavian Airlines) — CityJet states the contract of carriage is with that airline.
  3. Go to the ticketed airline's website, retrieve your reservation in its Manage Booking section and select the option to add extra baggage.
  4. Complete payment on the ticketed airline's website and keep the confirmation email or updated itinerary.

FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online from CityJet after booking?

No. CityJet sells no tickets or baggage directly. Extra baggage for a CityJet-operated flight must be bought from the airline you are ticketed with, via its website or airport channels.

Where do I buy extra baggage for a flight operated by CityJet?

From the airline on whose network the flight is performed (currently SAS for SK-coded flights) — use its Manage Booking on its website or buy at the airport. CityJet provides no check-in or baggage sales of its own.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

CityJet publishes no baggage limits of its own. The maximum pieces, weight and dimensions are set by the ticketed airline, so check that airline's baggage policy for your booking.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

CityJet has no pricing model of its own: since 2018 it operates exclusively as an ACMI wet-lease provider, and the ticketed airline's fare table alone determines the extra-baggage charge for your route and fare type.

Do partner-operated or codeshare flights have different baggage rules?

Every current CityJet flight is a wet-lease flight operated for a customer airline (today all flights are operated on behalf of SAS), so the ticketed airline's baggage rules always apply instead of any CityJet rules.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

CityJet's own scheduled WX-coded services ended on 28 October 2018. CityJet's Contact Us Customer Support form covers those historic WX flights only; for any current flight shown as Operated by CityJet you must contact the ticketed airline, including for baggage allowances and special items such as bicycles, pets or outsize baggage.
