FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

JSX does not publish an online pre-purchase flow for extra bags. Additional or overweight bags are handled directly with JSX staff and charged $50 per bag. Notify JSX at least 48 hours before departure if you have additional, abnormally sized, or extra-heavy luggage.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Extra and overweight bags are checked and paid for at the JSX private terminal (FBO) on travel day. If you have additional, abnormally sized, or extra-heavy luggage, contact JSX customer care at least 48 hours before your flight.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

There is no published online purchase cutoff. The only timing rule is to communicate any additional, abnormally sized, or extra-heavy luggage to JSX at least 48 hours prior to your flight.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Pricing is flat, not zoned: Hop On fares include 2 bags at 50 lbs each and All In fares include 3 bags at 50 lbs each, and every additional or overweight bag costs a flat $50 regardless of fare type.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Hop On fares are entitled to 2 checked bags at 50 lbs each; All In fares are permitted 3 checked bags at 50 lbs each. JSX publishes no checked-bag dimension limits. Carry-on is limited to two personal items that fit completely under the seat (max 13 in W x 11 in H x 17 in L); anything larger must be checked and counts against the checked-bag allowance.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Any bag exceeding the 50 lbs allowance costs a flat $50 on either fare. Abnormally sized or extra-heavy luggage must be communicated to JSX 48 hours before the flight and is subject to aircraft performance on the day of departure.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Extra and overweight baggage acceptance is subject to aircraft performance on the day of departure. Smart bags with non-removable lithium batteries are not accepted as checked or carry-on luggage.
