How to Add Extra Baggage & Prices on Nauru Airlines

  1. Go to nauruair.com and open the booking window, then select the Your Booking tab next to Flights (or use the My Bookings customer login).
  2. Retrieve your reservation with your booking reference (if you booked through a travel agent, contact your agent instead of using the online flow).
  3. Add extra baggage as an ancillary add-on at the time of booking, or via My Booking for an existing reservation, choosing 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 kg increments for your route.
  4. Pay in your local currency before the pre-purchase cutoff (site states 24 hours before departure; purchase is subject to space availability).

Included checked allowance depends on fare: Sale/other and Pacific Saver 23 kg, Flexi Saver 30 kg, Premium Business and Full flexible 45 kg. No single piece may exceed 32 kg; total dimensions per journey must not exceed 270 cm with no piece over 158 cm. Cabin: 7 kg Economy, 10 kg Business.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

No piece may exceed 32 kg. Excess/overweight baggage is accepted only if space permits (subject to aircraft weight limits), fees are collected at the airport, and it may travel on the next available flight instead of yours. Do not pack perishables, medicines or valuables in excess luggage. Pieces over 270 cm total dimensions must go as freight.

Do partner-operated or codeshare flights have different baggage rules?

Tarawa-Kiritimati (Christmas Island) sectors are marked as Air Kiribati flights with no Nauru pre-purchase rate (airport excess AUD 30 per kg). Passengers booked through a travel agent must arrange pre-purchased baggage via their agent, not online directly.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Prepaid (pre-purchased) baggage is non-refundable, even if the actual baggage weight carried is less than what was paid for.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Pooling of baggage allowances is only permitted for family groups booked on the same booking reference (PNR). Acceptance of any excess baggage is at the airline's sole discretion and subject to aircraft load constraints, with no guarantee it travels on your flight.
