How to Add Extra Baggage & Prices on Sky Express

Buy Baggage
  1. Go to skyexpress.gr and open Manage my Booking (flights.skyexpress.gr/en/manage).
  2. Enter your booking reference and last name to retrieve your reservation.
  3. Choose the extra baggage option you need: an additional 15, 23 or 32 kg bag, or extra kilos (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 or 10 kg) for a bag already included in your fare.
  4. Complete payment online at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure to get the online rate.
  5. You will receive confirmation of the added baggage; extra-baggage charges are non-refundable unless SKY express cancels the flight.

Prices

Extra pieces of 15, 23 or 32 kg can be bought online at from-prices; only the 23 kg piece is also sold at the airport. Maximum 5 checked pieces per passenger, 32 kg per bag.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Buy extra baggage in Manage my Booking on flights.skyexpress.gr by retrieving your reservation. Airport purchase is also possible but costs more and 15 kg / 32 kg extra pieces are not sold at the airport.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

Online purchase of extra baggage or excess weight is available up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time. Extra-baggage and excess-weight charges are non-refundable.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Extra pieces are sold per bag in 15, 23 or 32 kg sizes with prices depending on route group (domestic, international under 2 hours, international over 2 hours) and season. Overweight top-ups for bags already included in the fare are sold per kilo (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 or 10 kg packages). Seasonal rates apply 01/04-31/10 and 12/12-07/01.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes. Online rates are lower than airport rates (for example excess weight 5€/kg online vs 7€/kg at the airport, rising to 8€/kg vs 10€/kg in season). The 15 kg and 32 kg extra pieces are online-only and not sold at the airport at all.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

A maximum of 5 checked pieces per passenger with no single bag over 32 kg. Checked-bag dimensions must not exceed 156 cm total (length + width + height). Extra 32 kg pieces on domestic routes are only available on Airbus-operated flights.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Bags heavier than the fare allowance (up to 32 kg per item) are charged per kilo in 1-10 kg packages. Items larger than 156 cm total dimensions or special baggage incur an additional special-baggage fee on top of any excess-weight fee.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Extra-baggage and excess-weight charges are non-refundable if the ticket is cancelled. If SKY express cancels the flight, or checked baggage is lost or significantly damaged, all checked-baggage charges are refunded.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Seasonal rates (01/04-31/10 and 12/12-07/01) apply, with separate domestic airport prices for routes to/from Zakynthos, Skiathos, Mykonos, Santorini, Kefalonia and Naxos. The domestic 32 kg extra piece is only sold on Airbus-operated flights. Sports equipment over 150 cm long can only travel on Airbus aircraft (max 250 cm).
