Buy Baggage
  1. Go to usbair.com and open the 'Purchase Extra Baggage' page under Plan Your Travel to review the per-kg excess baggage rate for your route and direction.
  2. For prepaid excess baggage on Saudi Arabia routes (Jeddah/Medina or Riyadh/Dammam to Bangladesh), visit a US-Bangla city sales office in Saudi Arabia or the airport counter before departure and ask for the prepaid excess baggage package.
  3. Pay for the prepaid package at the sales office or airport counter; the US-Bangla agent records the purchase in your reservation.
  4. For all other routes, bring your baggage to the airport check-in counter and settle any excess baggage charge there.
  5. Keep your payment receipt, which confirms that the purchased allowance has been added to your booking.

On Saudi Arabia routes, yes: a prepaid piece of up to 23 kg costs SAR 300 (Jeddah/Medina) or SAR 350 (Riyadh/Dammam), versus the SAR 45/kg excess rate (about SAR 1,035 for 23 kg paid per kg). No online discount exists because there is no online purchase channel.

What are the overweight and oversized baggage rules?

Weight above the free allowance is charged per kg using the sector excess rate. The maximum single checked piece is 30 kg and checked bags may not exceed 40 x 60 x 100 cm per piece; US-Bangla does not publish separate overweight or oversized fee amounts.

Do connecting flights have different baggage rules?

Passengers connecting on any US-Bangla flight get the international free baggage allowance. International connecting passengers from another carrier get 10 kg extra free baggage on domestic legs, and on BS international sectors get FBA per IATA rules or the most significant carrier. Prepaid baggage from another carrier is not accepted on BS flights if it exceeds the regular free allowance.

Can I get a refund for prepaid extra baggage?

Prepaid excess baggage is completely non-refundable, but it can be changed if the original ticket is changed.
