What happens if my bag is oversized or overweight?

Items exceeding 158 cm (62 in) but under 292 cm (115 in) incur a bulky item fee (e.g. FJD 170–470 ex Fiji) in addition to any excess baggage fee. Domestic bags over 15 kg attract a heavy piece charge (16–20 kg) or the full additional piece rate (21–30 kg). Boxes and cartons must be shrink-wrapped.

Can I get a refund on prepaid extra baggage?

Prepaid baggage is transferable to an amended travel date on the same ticket but not to another customer. Refunds apply only with a fully refundable/flexible fare ticket (a 50% ancillary refund fee is charged) or when Fiji Airways cannot carry the bag for operational, safety or security reasons; claims must be made within 14 days after the last flight.

Do Fiji Link domestic flights have different baggage rules?

When connecting from a Fiji Airways international flight to a Fiji Link domestic flight on the same ticket, the international baggage allowance applies to the domestic sector. If ticketed separately, the allowance on each ticket applies. Prepaid domestic bags are limited to 15 kg. Codeshare passengers (marketing carriers on FJ routes) may also purchase prepaid excess baggage.
