FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. Add bags when booking on flyflair.com, after booking through My Trips at mytrips.flyflair.com, or during online check-in at oci.flyflair.com. Online purchase is available from booking until 3 hours before departure.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

During booking on flyflair.com, in My Trips after booking, during online check-in, or at the airport counter and gate. Buying online in advance is cheapest.

When should I buy extra baggage to get the best price?

Buy at the time of booking for the lowest rate — Booking-channel prices are lowest, then Manage My Booking, then online check-in, with the airport the most expensive. Airport check-in sales run from 3 hours to 45 minutes before departure.

How does Flair calculate baggage charges?

Flair charges per piece with caps set by distance band (under 1,000 km, 1,000-3,000 km, over 3,001 km) and by purchase channel. The tariff table shows the maximum in Canadian dollars; your route costs that or less, plus applicable taxes.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes. A first 23 kg bag costs up to CAD 98 at booking versus up to CAD 158 at the airport, and a carry-on up to CAD 77 at booking versus up to CAD 140 at the airport.

What are the bag size, weight and quantity limits?

Free personal item: 15 x 33 x 43 cm, 7 kg (one per itinerary). Carry-on: 23 x 40 x 55 cm, 10 kg (one per passenger). Checked bags: max 158 cm total linear, 23 kg (up to 5 per the tariff tables). Overweight bags accepted to 45 kg; nothing over 45 kg is accepted.

What are the overweight and oversized baggage rules?

Checked bags over 23 kg pay CAD 9 per extra kg up to CAD 440 at the airport, on top of the checked bag fee. Bags of 158-292 cm total linear dimensions pay up to CAD 129 oversized fee at the airport, on top of the checked bag fee.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Guardians travelling with a child may check 2 of these per child free of charge: stroller, porta cot and bedding, car seat, or portable highchair. The 10 kg checked bag is not sold at check-in or the airport. An oversized personal item counts as a carry-on, and unpaid or oversized carry-ons at the gate attract gate and upgrade fees.
