FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

No. Ibom Air does not publish an online extra-baggage purchase flow. Excess baggage is paid for at the airport counter at the prevailing per-kilogram rate.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Pay for excess baggage at the airport check-in counter. Retrieve your reservation first in Manage Booking with your PNR and surname, then present excess items at the counter before the baggage acceptance deadline.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage?

Pre-book single items over 32 kg per piece no later than 24 hours before departure (48 hours on regional flights), abnormal-size items no later than 48 hours before departure, and quantities over 10 pieces no later than 24 hours before departure (48 hours on regional flights). Airport check-in closes 1 hour before departure, and baggage acceptance for passengers who checked in online closes 35 minutes before departure.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Excess baggage is charged per extra kilogram at the prevailing rate advised at the airport counter, for both domestic and regional flights. Extra baggage bought at the counter after online check-in is sold in 20 kg per piece units.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Each passenger may check more than 10 pieces only with advance pre-booking, subject to space availability, and the service is not offered during peak seasons such as Christmas. Cabin bags must fit the airline gauge and weigh no more than 7 kg.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Any single item over 32 kg per piece must be pre-booked (24 hours domestic, 48 hours regional), is subject to space availability, and is paid for after weight assessment on the day of travel. Abnormal-size items must be pre-booked 48 hours ahead, with fitting, space, and special handling charges confirmed on the day of travel.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Wheelchairs, walking aids, and motorized mobility equipment travel free but must be pre-booked (24 hours, or 48 hours with full dimensions, weight, and battery details for motorized chairs); spillable batteries are never accepted. Golf bags get an extra 15 kg free allowance, with the weight above 15 kg charged per kilogram. Quantities above 10 pieces per passenger are excluded during peak seasons.
