FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

No. Max Air publishes no online extra-baggage purchase option. The Manage Booking portal offers ticket view/print, booking changes, seat selection and online check-in only; excess baggage charges are collected at the point of departure.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Excess baggage is paid at the airport at the point of departure, in the local currency. It cannot be added in Manage Booking, which supports ticket view/print, booking changes, seat selection and online check-in only.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

There is no published online purchase deadline because extra baggage is not sold online. Excess baggage is accepted subject to available space on your flight; report to the check-in desk before check-in closure (30 minutes before departure for domestic, 60 minutes for regional and international flights).

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Excess baggage charges apply to any baggage above the free allowance. The FAQ states rates are published in a Checked Baggage Policy document, but that document is not linked or published anywhere on the official site, so no fixed rates are publicly available. Charges are collected in the local currency at the point of departure.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

The FAQ states a general checked-baggage maximum of one piece up to 20 kg per passenger; the Plan-your-trip page separately lists domestic cabin-class allowances of 15 kg in Economy and 30 kg in Business. Cabin baggage is limited to one piece (10 kg international, 8 kg domestic, max 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm). A maximum of 10 pieces per passenger in total is allowed, subject to available space. Infants have no free checked allowance.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

The airline publishes no advance-purchase versus airport price comparison because extra baggage is only payable at the airport. There is no online pre-purchase discount.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

The airline does not publish a fixed refund or transfer policy for excess baggage payments. Cancellations and reschedules cannot be done online; contact the reservations office or a local Max Air office, where a penalty fee may apply.
