How to Add Extra Baggage & Prices on SKY Peru

Buy Baggage
  1. Go to skyairline.com (Peru site) and add baggage during the initial booking flow, or open Mis Viajes (mmb.skyairline.com) on the website or the SKY app.
  2. Retrieve your reservation with the booking code and last name in Mis Viajes.
  3. Select the additional cabin or checked baggage option for each leg and complete payment (online self-service available up to 48 hours before the flight).
  4. If within 48 hours of departure, contact SKY Chat (daily 08:00-23:00) to add baggage, or pay directly at the airport counter or boarding gate.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

All prices are published as starting ("desde") prices in USD and vary by purchase moment and route. Domestic (national) and international price bands apply; the same published table covers Chile and Peru operations. Buying in advance on the web or app is always cheaper than the airport counter.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes. Advance web/app purchase is substantially cheaper: e.g. the 1st domestic checked bag costs from USD 22 online vs USD 39 at the counter, and the 1st international checked bag from USD 42 online vs USD 80 at the counter. Cabin carry-on shows the same gap (from USD 16 online vs USD 32 at the counter on domestic routes).

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Each checked bag may weigh up to 23 kg and measure up to 158 cm linear (length + width + height). Pricing tables go up to a 5th checked bag. Up to 3 sports/special bags of 23 kg each can be checked per passenger. By law, no single checked bag may exceed 45 kg on Peru/Chile itineraries (32 kg on Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, USA, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Uruguay itineraries). Cabin carry-on is limited to 10 kg and 25 x 35 x 55 cm.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Bags over 23 kg pay per-band excess-weight fees at the airport counter only (e.g. domestic from USD 33 for 1-5 kg extra up to USD 80 above 15 kg). Cabin bags exceeding the size or quantity allowed for the fare pay a gate fee (from USD 39-40). Excess-weight fees are airport-only charges, not online-purchasable products.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

If you change your flight, all prepaid baggage services transfer to the new flight. Non-conventional items (boxes, TVs) are only accepted with special resistant packaging meeting the weight and size limits. Oversized bags over 158 cm linear cannot travel as checked baggage and must go as cargo.
