  2. Click 马上购买 to reach the 自选产品购买 verification form.
  3. Enter 旅客姓名 (passenger name), 证件号码 (ID number), 客票号码 (ticket number), 航班日期 (flight date), and 手机号码 (mobile number), complete the slider captcha, and click 前往选购.
  4. Select the prepaid baggage amount (domestic: 5-40 kg tiers; international: number of pieces) and complete payment.
  5. At check-in, tell staff you pre-purchased extra baggage; for refunds of unused prepaid baggage apply through the original purchase channel before check-in.

International: at most 5 prepaid pieces per passenger; each piece max 32 kg and 203 cm total dimensions (158 cm within free allowance). Unused prepaid allowance cannot be refunded after check-in with actual baggage.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes. Buying prepaid online in advance is cheaper than airport counter rates. Domestic airport counter excess costs CNY 15/20/25 per kg by distance band, gate check costs CNY 240 per piece, while online prepaid is sold at a discount to counter rates. International prepaid pieces are cheaper than the equivalent airport extra-piece fees on the same route.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Overweight on international routes is only permitted in economy (business class overweight is not allowed); overweight, oversize (158-203 cm), and extra pieces are each charged per the route excess table, and combined overweight plus oversize plus extra-piece conditions are charged cumulatively (叠加收费). Domestic overweight is charged per kg by distance band.

Do partner-operated or codeshare flights have different baggage rules?

Codeshare international routes have a separate excess-fee table (e.g. different rates apply on China-Russia, China-Oceania, and China-Asia codeshare services), and free allowance on codeshare routes follows separate notices or the same-region standard. Vladivostok routes do not sell prepaid baggage; Male, Saipan, Macau, and Jeju routes only sell one-way prepaid baggage originating in China.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Unused prepaid baggage can be refunded through the original purchase channel before check-in at no charge (domestic: also after departure if the ticket was unused; international: refund takes an estimated 7-14 working days). Prepaid baggage does not support date changes or transfers: cancel the prepaid order first, change the ticket, then repurchase.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Discounted fares and product tickets may carry their own free-baggage rules (some deep-discount domestic economy fares include 0 kg). Gold/platinum Fortune Wings members receive extra free allowance. Tell check-in staff you pre-purchased extra baggage, as checked-in prepaid allowance counts as used and over-bought weight is non-refundable.
