  2. Use the excess-baggage fee calculator at the top of the page: enter departure city, arrival city and baggage weight, then click 查询 to see the route distance band and applicable rates.
  3. Click 马上购买 (Buy Now) and retrieve your booking; the ticket must be in unchecked-in status — if already checked in, cancel check-in first.
  4. Choose an allowance tier (5KG / 10KG / 15KG / 20KG / 25KG / 30KG / 35KG / 40KG; split orders above 40KG into two purchases) and complete payment no later than 60 minutes before scheduled departure.
  5. Keep the confirmation/e-receipt; at airport check-in the prepaid allowance is applied on a no-refund-for-unused, pay-extra-for-excess basis, and invoices can be issued via the airline's online self-service invoice channel.

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. Prepaid checked baggage can be bought on the Fuzhou Airlines website, HNA app, HNA mini-program or via call center 95071666, up to 60 minutes before departure while the ticket is unchecked-in. Infant tickets and interline/connecting tickets are not eligible for online pre-purchase.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Prepaid tiers are 5-40KG per order (split larger needs into two orders). Each checked bag must not exceed 50 kg or 40x60x100 cm; oversize wheels are excluded from measurement. Free checked allowance by fare: R 30KG, W and Y/H/K/L/M/X 20KG, V/N/A/U/T/P 0KG.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes. Online prepaid rates are 20% lower per kg than airport counter rates in every distance band (12 vs 15, 16 vs 20, 20 vs 25 CNY/kg). Unused prepaid weight is not refunded and excess over it is charged at counter rates.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Any weight above the ticket's free allowance is excess and charged per kg by distance band. Single checked pieces are capped at 50 kg and 40x60x100 cm; sports items over 203 cm total dimensions need prior approval and over 203 cm or 32 kg travel on a limited-release tag.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Voluntary full refunds via the original purchase channel are allowed within the ticket validity if the ticket is unused/valid (cancel check-in first if checked in); used tickets cannot be refunded online. Ticket-attached prepaid baggage follows automatic flight changes; separately ordered prepaid baggage must be refunded and repurchased after a voluntary change. Endorsed (rerouted) tickets make prepaid baggage non-transferable and it is refunded instead.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

At airports not yet on the differentiated-baggage policy, excess is charged at 1.5% of the full one-way economy fare per kg instead of the band rates. Infant-ticket holders get no free allowance (one folding stroller/pram up to 7 kg free). Cabin carry-on is 1 piece up to 7 kg: 20x40x55 cm for R/W cabins, 20x30x40 cm for other economy.
