  1. Go to the Thai Lion Air Manage Booking page at mmb.lionairthai.com/manage-booking/login.
  2. Enter your booking reference (PNR), first name and last name exactly as in the booking, then click Search.
  3. Select the Pre-Baggage (Lion Baggage) add-on and choose the extra weight (+5 to +45 kg in 5 kg steps; multiple transactions allowed up to 45 kg total).
  4. Complete payment at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure (also available during initial booking, via call center +662-529-9999, Line OA @lionairgroup, or ticket counters).
  5. Present yourself at the check-in counter; purchased weight may be shared with other passengers on the same PNR if you present yourselves together.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

On lionairthai.com (Manage Booking), via call center +662-529-9999, Line Official Account @lionairgroup, or at ticket counters. Groups of more than 10 passengers buy via [email protected] or +662-529-9977. Not applicable to charter flights.

When is the deadline to buy prepaid baggage online?

Lion Baggage must be purchased at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure; the Manage Booking page confirms additional allowance must be purchased 3h before departure. At the airport the full standard rate applies.

How much extra baggage can I buy and what are the limits?

Up to 45 kg total per passenger (multiple transactions allowed), with no single piece over 32 kg and checked dimensions capped at 81 x 119 x 119 cm. Cabin baggage is limited to 1 item of max 7 kg and 56 x 36 x 23 cm. Infants have no baggage allowance, though a pram/buggy is carried free.

Can I get a refund for prepaid baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Lion Baggage is non-refundable except when Thai Lion Air changes the schedule or cancels the flight, in which case it is moved to the new flight or fully refunded. After a voluntary change by the passenger it is accepted on the new flight at no extra cost for the same destination.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Lion Baggage is not sold for carry-on baggage, extra seats, or infant-fare tickets; it cannot be transferred to passengers outside the same PNR booking and name changes are not permitted (pooling the purchased weight among passengers on the same PNR at check-in is allowed). The airport bundle is not available on NAN routes, DMK-ICN (Seoul) has date-specific prepaid restrictions, and baby buggies, manual wheelchairs and mobility devices are carried free of charge.
